Could not recommend Family Ford enough! Peter is so wonderful and got us in an incredible car at the price point we needed - which is hard to do these days! He works hard, listens to your wants and needs, and is honest and up front with you from the start. We are on our second vehicle from this dealership with Peter as our salesman both times and the experience has been great both times. Had a great experience buying my first new vehicle with Family Ford. Very laidback dealership. Went just for a test drive and they weren’t prying for emails and phone numbers. Family Ford was easy to work with. I purchased a vehicle on line and our salesperson David was great. He was on top of everything and had everything ready for me when I arrived. We will definitely check them out first the next time we are looking for a vehicles even though we are in Virginia.
Pick up of my vehicle was seamless and drop-off. Very convenient as I work in Healthcare and didn't have time to leave office. Will give 5 stars. Job well done and fully notified of everything that was going on.
I purchased 2 cars from Family Ford, and have had all my service performed here for over 10 years. The level of professionalism and expertise is excellent. The service or repairs are always done right the first time. From their sales staff to their parts and service departments, there's simply no better Ford dealership in Northern New Jersey.
AVOID Family Ford at all costs - they will not care about you at all throughout the process
-We took possession of a new 2022 Ford Escape on May 26, 2023, after putting $11k total down payment
-There was then a recall present as of May 26, 2023 for engine failure on this vehicle
-After less than 4 months and 2000 total miles on the vehicle (around 600 of which were purely gas miles), we then experienced the rattling noise related to the recall that triggered us to contact our salesman David for next steps on September 19, 2023
-I brought the vehicle into the Family Ford service center on September 20, 2023, and waited for over an hour for someone to take my information
-I was given a 2020 gas-powered Ford Escape with 48k miles on it as a loaner car on this date
-I was told multiple times between September 20-28 that I would receive a call from the Service center for an update on the issue and an ETA for a fix, but received nothing despite contacting them multiple times in this timeframe
-On the evening of September 28, I finally heard from service that they were waiting for back ordered parts and it was going to be a major repair once parts arrived
-At this time, I contacted David for assistance escalating this with Ford regarding a Lemon Law potential due to the requirements being met imminently (less than 2 years / 24k miles, serious defect, 20 calendar days out of service - a figure that would be met in 12 days time due to the lack of ETAs)
-David simply told me to contact Ford Corporate, which was the start of the frustration with his lack of action - for a reference point, we have had family members go through similar situations (including with a Ford dealer for a 2021 Mach E) and they have received nothing but full support and assistance directly from the salesperson and dealership escalating issues themselves since the issue was caused by a car they sold.
-Our next meaningful update from Family Ford came on October 19, 2023, a full calendar month from when the issue started. Service said they performed the TSB with the parts that had finally arrived and the noise was still present and they had no idea what the next step was
-Half of the time our direction from Ford Corporate was to work through this issue with the dealership, despite David's unwillingness to assist us at all. When we did have any progress with Ford Corporate, they were dragging their feet for weeks due to lack of priority for our situation
-I contacted David on October 20th to see what we can do from a dealership perspective because at that point it had been a full month driving a beat up loaner car despite paying for a new car and we had zero progress from service or Ford Corporate
-He said he spoke with the Sales Manager who was going to contact Corporate and he would follow up with us the next day
-After following up 3 separate times over the next few days, on October 24th David said there was no update and that we would be responsible for contacting Ford for latest information
-I had flagged to David that corporate was not being helpful and that we were even being directed to the dealer at times, and he dismissed any support and told us that there is nothing he would do
-On October 23, Service informed me they had received approval to order a new motor, which arrived October 27th. He said our car would likely be done by the end of the week of the 30th
-After 3 separate follow ups that week, we did not receive any update until November 6th, saying the vehicle was still not attended to as the tech called out on Friday, so it should be done in a few days
-The car was not finalized until November 9th, over 50 days from the first notice of the issue
-Ford Corporate said that if we could get our dealer to cooperate, they could help process a collateral swap. I contacted David and the sales manager a total of 5 times and was completely ignored
I recently got my new F 150 from Family Ford a little over a week ago , the sales person John was great got me into this truck with no hassle at all , by the way I am from Rhode Island and Family Ford
Worked with me over the phone and I picked up my truck and had all paperwork ready and done in less then an hour,John reviewed the truck with me and I was on my way! I would recommend Family Ford to anyone looking for a new Ford!!
